Fiona Macdonald is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Art, Design & Architecture and director of the Graduate Theory Program at Monash University, Melbourne. Her work draws on local cultural traditions, social and natural history.
Macdonald has held solo exhibitions and screenings at the Musem of Contemporary Art, Sydney, 2004; Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Melbourne, 2003; Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery, 1998; Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne in 1994 and 1990; and, at Gertrude Contemporary Artspaces and Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane in 1988; in the same year her video work was included in ISEA, Utrecht and Arts Electronic, Holland.
